6 Tips to Drink More Water
Use a Glass Bottle
Water always tastes better in glass. While most plastic bottles are BPA Free, glass bottles have no risk of nasty chemicals leaching into your water. A glass bottle is easy to clean and doesn’t alter the taste, keeping your water fresh and healthy. We love the Iconic Glass Water Bottle from Lorna Jane. The convenient 550ml size makes it easy to fit into your gym bag and the protective silicone cover protects the glass when you’re on the go.
Keep a few travel size bottles of water in the fridge
Save time by having at least 3 bottles of water in the fridge for the day. I purchase a few VOSS Still Water 375ml bottles to keep in the fridge. I love these glass bottles as they are tall and narrow which means they are easy to carry in my handbag without being too heavy and great to refill. (but don’t tell Voss that)
Keep a bottle of water next to your bed
Its summer in Australia and that means hot days and warm night. A great combination for dehydration, so keep water by the bed to sip during the night. In the morning, take a few sips as you wake up to kickstart your day.
Drink water after your morning coffee
We all love our morning coffee and it can actually count towards your water intake. However, coffee has a diuretic effect, so keep a glass of water handy to sip afterwards. Not only will the extra water help keep you hydrated but also rinse your teeth to help prevents coffee stains and decay.
Buy a Water Filter
In Australia we are one of the luckiest countries in the world to have fresh, clean drinking tap water, so I don’t believe its necessary to buy your drinking water in bottles. However most people complain about the metallic taste of tap water. So for a crisp, fresh taste, a water filter jug is a quick, easy way to filter water at home or at your desk in the office.
Add Fruit to your water
Add fruits such as kiwi, lemon and strawberries to filtered water to make a refreshing drink. For favoured water on the go, we love the Cool Gear Infusion Bottle.
