I’ve been neglecting strength training for arms for years. As a women, I believed investing in a great pair of legs was all that was needed. As the saying goes, I could kick start a boeing but I could barely do a single push-up! So it’s time to step up and focus on strength training for biceps and triceps and hopefully fight the dreaded tuck-shop arms.
These arm strengthening exercises were recommend to me by my gym.
Recommendation for all workouts below is 3 sets consisting of 6-12 repeats with a minutes rest between sets.
1. Bicep Curl with Barbell
Bicep curls with a barbell targets the inner, outer and lower biceps muscles of the arm.
2.Alternate Dumbbell curls
3.Dumbbell Hammer curls
5. Dumbbell Kickbacks
Tricep Dips are for toning the muscles that run on the backside of your upper arm, from your shoulder to your elbow. (aka toning exercises targeting tuck-shop arms, bingo wings…you get the idea!)
